PROTAC® STRUCTURAL ACRYLIC ADHESIVES

Novachem offers the latest technology and most advanced structural adhesives available. Our Protac® range of Structural adhesives offers increased strength and flexibility while providing the next stage in structural load bearing capabilities on a range of substrates. Fixture times range from 45 seconds to 90 minutes depending on the grade and application requirements.

Protac® MMA Structural adhesives can withstand paint bake cycles, including powder coating and electron coating at typically 220°C – 230°C for up to 35 minutes with no loss of mechanical strength. The difference in viscosity and cure times enables manufacturers to choose the grade that best suits their production process and results in improved productivity and lower costs. No other grade range offers the combination of physical properties, ease of use and superior mechanical strengths for bonding engineered plastics, composites and metals.

Typical advantages of Protac® Structural Adhesives are:

  • Stress distribution uniformed over a surface face
  • Weight saving for light-weight construction
  • Surface and texture of joined materials remain uniform
  • Prevention of loss of pressure or liquids by sealed joints
  • Reduced risk of corrosion when joining dissimilar material

Our Protac® Structural  adhesive range offers superior strength in bonding Composites, Thermoplastics, Metals, and dissimilar substrates. Our range of structural acrylic adhesives has been engineered for industry sectors such as:

  • Energy - wind turbine housing assemblies, wind blades, solar panels
  • Transport - rail, buses, coaches, cars, trucks, aircraft
  • Marine - yachts, liners, leisure boats, sails
  • Construction - FRP facades and bridges, safety doors, acrylic signs
  • Industrial - bonding metals, thermoplastics, thermosets, PMMA, ABS, PC and composite assemblies

Customised formulations can be developed to meet your specific application requirements, and a variety of packaging options are available. We offer our customers comprehensive technical assistance with their product applications, and product samples are available upon request.
